Sun blasted tree waiting

Ticking time
Waiting benches for phantom sitters,
dogs milling at their feet,
invisible

children wailing, sun-bitten, red with fever
eye rubbing fisted infants, twisting
strollers heating smelling of warm plastic, toxins
curdled milk-filled baby bottles, discarded and dripping
wet clothing on wet diapers, reeking

relentless sun heating benches,
shade-less tree, trembling leafless,
breeseless air, storm cloud greilling, broiling,
animate life evaporateing, limp, covered in humidity
sinking ground-ward, heat-stroked, palid
descending into unconsciousness
semi boiled brains fervid dreaming
of Ice flows, glaciers, cold springs refreshing
ice cubes floating in condenscing dishes
