Undulating Snake of Sand
Watched by the eye in the sky,
it lies motionless, waiting, stirring only
slightly when the breezes play,
tiny tendrils of whirl y-gigs, dancing
edging lacy tracings over,
the recumbent, draped snake body,
barely permanent, subject to
wind-driven disintegration.
