Listen to the Kiwi calling,
in it's mantle of spring green.
There are seeds in it's pod, ripe and ready.
Surrounded by juicy green fruit-flesh,
Ready for the harvester's knife.
Sacrificing it's life at prime moment of peak ripeness,
in order to distribute seeds for new life.
