Yellow Earth

Sun-absorbed fields
lie waiting
prone to harvesting.
Brilliant blue sky
scintillates the
horizon.
Solitary tree
squats,
above a shady line.
Long slender shadow,
draws an extra horizon,
like a curtain across,
throbbing nature's impulsive fruition.
